Cookie Policy
Last updated 8 August 2026 · Version 1.0
This Cookie Policy explains how MapsDoc uses cookies and similar technologies on its website and dashboard. It should be read with the International Privacy Policy.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, software development kits, pixels and identifiers sent with network requests. They can keep a session active, remember choices, protect forms and help understand whether a service works correctly.
2. Categories
Strictly necessary
These technologies provide requested functions such as authentication, session continuity, security, fraud prevention, load balancing and storage of privacy choices. They cannot be disabled through our preference tool because the service cannot operate reliably without them.
Preferences
These remember optional display or usability choices. Where law requires consent, they remain off until consent is given.
Analytics
These help us understand aggregate website and feature use and diagnose performance. Where law requires consent, analytics remain off until consent is given.
At launch, MapsDoc uses Vercel Web Analytics for limited, cookieless website analytics. MapsDoc does not use Google Analytics, PostHog, advertising pixels, heatmaps or session replay. Google Search Console may be used for site-performance reporting because it does not place analytics code on a visitor’s browser.
Advertising
MapsDoc does not currently use cookies for third-party behavioral advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes, we will update this Policy and provide legally required controls before enabling them.
3. Current technology register
Before publication, MapsDoc will insert a production-generated register containing each cookie or storage key, provider, purpose, category, duration and whether it is first- or third-party. The live register—not examples—is authoritative.
| Technology/provider | Purpose | Category | Duration | |---|---|---|---| | Supabase authentication cookies (sb-…-auth-token, including chunked variants) | Sign-in, session continuity and security | Strictly necessary | Controlled by the authenticated session and refreshed as required | | Vercel Web Analytics | Cookieless aggregate website analytics | Analytics | No browser cookie set by MapsDoc |
Authentication cookie names can include the Supabase project reference and chunk suffixes. MapsDoc will update this register before introducing any additional browser storage or optional analytics technology.
4. Your controls
Where a cookie-preference control is displayed, you may accept or reject optional categories and later change your choice through the Cookie settings link. You may also block or delete cookies using browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent authentication or other requested functions.
Consent choices are recorded for the period reasonably needed to honor and demonstrate the choice. We may ask again when the choice expires or our technologies materially change.
5. Do Not Track and opt-out signals
Browsers may send “Do Not Track” or legally recognized opt-out signals. Because MapsDoc does not sell personal information or use cross-context behavioral advertising, those signals do not currently change advertising activity. We will honor legally applicable signals if relevant processing is introduced.
6. Changes and contact
We update this Policy when our technology changes. Questions may be sent to hello@mapsdoc.com.
