Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the MapsDoc Terms of Service. It protects customers, the public, third-party platforms and MapsDoc.

You must not use, instruct or assist use of MapsDoc to:

1. Break the law or another person’s rights

  • publish false, deceptive, defamatory, discriminatory or unlawful material;
  • infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity or confidentiality rights;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent business ownership, location, qualifications or authority;
  • promote illegal goods, services or conduct; or
  • evade sanctions, export controls, court orders or regulatory restrictions.

2. Manipulate reviews or visibility systems

  • buy, sell, fabricate or arrange fake reviews, ratings, engagement, links or business locations;
  • review-gate by directing only satisfied customers to public review channels where prohibited by law or platform policy;
  • offer undisclosed or prohibited incentives for positive reviews;
  • suppress, alter or mischaracterize genuine customer feedback unlawfully;
  • create misleading doorway pages, keyword stuffing, hidden content, link schemes or other prohibited manipulation; or
  • circumvent a platform suspension, verification process, access control or usage limit.

3. Send unlawful communications

  • use scraped, harvested, purchased or unlawfully obtained contact lists;
  • send marketing without the consent or other basis required in the recipient’s country;
  • omit required sender identification or unsubscribe tools;
  • continue marketing after an opt-out or objection; or
  • send abusive, deceptive, threatening or discriminatory communications.

4. Provide prohibited data or access

  • provide patient files, medical records, card numbers, passwords in ordinary text fields, government identifiers or other sensitive data without a specific written agreement and safeguards;
  • connect an account, profile, website or location you are not authorized to manage;
  • expose credentials to unauthorized persons; or
  • upload malware, exploit code or content intended to compromise a system.

5. Abuse the service

  • probe, scan, disrupt or attempt unauthorized access to MapsDoc or another customer’s environment;
  • bypass plan, usage, security or tenant restrictions;
  • reverse engineer the service except where a right cannot legally be restricted;
  • resell, sublicense or provide access to MapsDoc unless expressly agreed; or
  • use generated output without checking business facts and regulated claims for which you are responsible.

6. Enforcement

MapsDoc may reject an instruction, remove or pause affected content, limit access, preserve evidence, notify an affected platform or authority where legally required, and suspend or terminate service in accordance with the Terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the concern and allow correction.
